These five athletes prove it's never too late to start moving.

A cancer survivor in New Castle, Indiana, hits the track at 3 a.m.
A former country music player now shines on a softball diamond near Nashville, Tennessee. In Hallandale Beach, Florida, a woman who, as a girl in pre-Title iX years never set foot on a track, now outruns them all. A grandmother in Topeka, Kansas, slaps a basketball; at 71 she can still keep up with her grandchildren. And in Lexington, Ohio, a man plunges into a pool for an hour or more of laps. As a kid he dreamed of winning gold; today at 72, he does.

Meet five incredible athletes we got to know at the 2007 Senior Olympics in Louisville last summer. Click on the articles below for their stories.
