Connie's Best of the West Beans
This hearty dish is made by combining three kinds of beans, some spices, and a simple sauce.

Dave’s Gourmet Jalapeño BBQ Sauce
Premium barbecue sauce is the base for this semi-homemade grilling staple.
Grilled Vegetable Medley
Toss these veggies on the grill using a grill pan or basket. Add some extra flavor with fresh herbs or dry rub, substituted for salt and pepper.
Preparation time:
20 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
SAUCE:
½ cup ketchup
½ cup bottled barbecue sauce
¼ cup spicy brown mustard
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ cup blackstrap molasses
BEANS:
4 cans red kidney beans
4 cans butter or pinto beans
4 cans pork and beans (pork optional)
1 onion, chopped
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Mix sauce ingredients in large bowl. Set aside.
Drain and rinse beans, except the pork and beans. Add beans to the bowl containing the sauce mixture. Add pork and beans as well. Mix well.
Transfer mixture to a large kettle. Add the onions. Mix again. Bake, covered, in middle of the oven for 1 hour.
Makes 20 servings as a side dish.
