The only no-kill animal shelter in the world, Best Friends covers 33,000 acres in Utah, where up to 2,000 animals are rescued and cared for, in preparation for adoption. The CENTRAL ASIA INSTITUTE
CAI provides education, primarily for girls, in remote regions of central Pakistan and Afghanistan. In Afghanistan $20 sends two girls to school for a year, $40 pays a teacher's salary for a month, and $100 heats a classroom for one winter.
